The Kakapo is an eccentric Parrot which is large, flightless and nocturnal.

The heaviest Parrot in the world, it is one of New Zealand's unquie treasures and is critically endangered with only 126 known and named birds surviving.

It has finely blotched yellow-green plumage, the upper parts of the Kakapo have yellowish moss-green feathers barred or mottled with black or dark brownish grey, blending well with native vegetation.

Size 8.5 x 8.5cm.
