NZ Greenstone Toki Pendant.

The "Toki" is a symbol of courage and strength in times of adversity.

Genuine New Zealand Pounamu (Greenstone), sourced and hand carved in Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Pounamu is of great cultural significance for Maori and is believed to enhance mana (prestige) of its possessor.

When received as a gift Pounamu is said to gain value as a special treasure.

The Toki  (Adaze) was a chisel tool used by the Maori people of Aotearoa to carve everything from their great Wakas (Canoes) to intricate designs found in their Marae (Meeting House).

Size Approx 45 H x 22mm W.
