Bone Multi Koru Earrings - 68mm
Bone Multi Koru Earrings.
Traditionally the koru is said to represent new beginnings, growth and re-generation.
We know it symbolizes the fern frond seen in New Zealand’s native bush because of the native New Zealand people, the Maori, proverb that speaks of rebirth and growth: Ka hinga atu he tete-kura – ka hara-mai he tete-kura
As one fern frond dies – one is born to take its place.
This bone carving is a beautiful piece of Maori jewellery.
These Maori earrings have been handcrafted from beef-bone.
This design we call the Koru family as depicted by the parents at the top and bottom and their loved ones in between.
Size Approx 68 L x 19 W (bone part only).
Approx 92mm total drop length.
We photograph each piece but a slight colour variation may occur.
