Bone Tiki Toki with Stain Pendant.

This bone carving is a beautiful piece of Maori jewellery.

This design shows a Tiki peaking out from behind this Toki.

The Tiki has been stained to add another layer of beauty.

The binding is tight, which is paramount for a long-lasting Toki.

This Maori necklace comes with a black wax cord.

The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots.

The Tiki represents the human form and one's ancestors.

Traditionally passed from parent to child or used for protection and good luck.

The Tiki is a very ancient symbol and is by far the least understood.

Other theories state that tiki represents the human embryo.

He is believed to have a strong link to the sea - often being depicted with webbed feet.

Perhaps the most accepted meaning of the Tiki is fertility.

The Adze or Toki symbolizes strength as it represents the traditional Maori tool, whose blade had to be strong so as not to break when used.

Size Approx 100 H x 35mm W.

We do not recommend exposure to any water as staining may wash off.

We photograph each piece but a slight colour variation may occur.
